Hello readerssss, I’m so delighted to have you here read this post. I had to step out of my lazy zone and quit procrastinating to have this here for you— how lovely. I know you are perfectly fine by God’s grace and pricelessly swimming in good health. Let’s just get right into what we have for today. Well, I’m not here to bombard you with lots of words coming from just me but we’re gonna have this interactively. Can I hear you say that?
Fast forward, just a quick question, “Can you claim to have someone in your life and know nothing about that person?” Well, buckle up, sip some juice, feel the cool breeze and let’s journey through this series together.
I love the Father because, in His faithful love for me, He drew me to Him, made me His and cares for me. I love Jesus because He gave His life for me on the cross of Calvary and removed my sin.
The question is whether I am able to say that I also love the Holy Spirit for what He does within me and what He does in the lives of others through me. Do I recognize the Holy Spirit as the Third Person in the Holy Trinity? Is He becoming an ever-greater reality in my life, or do I need to confess that I perhaps worship, honour and obey a “Duality” (Father and Son)? Is the Holy Spirit a force or a Friend? Is the Holy Spirit a power or a Person? These are the questions that we must consider because the answers, to a great extent, determine the Christian’s grasp of who and what the Holy Spirit is.
To some people, the Holy Spirit is simply one of God’s powers. Some Christians believe in God and His unfailing love and believe in Jesus as their Saviour and redeemer but just see the Holy Spirit as a concept in the Bible and in effect believe in "Duality", not the Trinity. But the Holy Spirit is the third Person of the Holy Trinity: one Being but three Persons. God is three and yet He is one: An inconceivable mystery to us. The Holy Spirit is not a mere power or influence of God, but a clearly visible, actual Person in the Godhead. The Holy Spirit exists in a special relationship with the Father and with Christ . . . The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of the Father as well as of the Son, and confirms the unity between the Father and the Son.

Picture this: You’re on a road trip, and you’re mindlessly scrolling through Instagram with music blaring through your headphones. Suddenly, you pass through the middle of nowhere and you lose your cell signal. Sure enough, Spotify cuts out, the music stops, your feed is frozen, and you’re left to your own thoughts. No music. No more texting. In the midst of your technological desolation, you remember the car has a radio. With the tap of a button, music fills your car.
Radios feel like magic. In desolate places where smartphones are useless, a reliable, old radio can tap into the invisible signals all around us and fill our silence with music. At the turn of a knob, you can shuffle from McReynolds to Cobbs. Maybe even mix in a little.
Luke Bryan—maybe not. No buffering. No dead batteries. Just voices pulled from thin air.
The Holy Spirit feels sort of magical too. He’s watching you read this right now. The air around you is filled with the invisible noise of God’s voice, and like a radio, you were built to hear it and relay His thoughts to people through your own words and actions.
Most people miss this, but God wants to speak to you. Did you catch that? He wants to speak to you, and He built you to hear His voice. He doesn’t usually speak out loud, but His voice comes from inside of you. It takes practice to learn how to separate your own thoughts from His voice, and different people hear Him in different ways.
Sometimes, the Holy Spirit sounds like thoughts in your head. Sometimes, He drops in a mental picture. Other times, He gives you a dream that just feels different. Most often, He speaks by illuminating parts of the Bible—reminding you of a verse you’ve read and helping you understand it in a new way.
When Jesus promised He would never leave us alone, the Holy Spirit was the fulfilment of that promise. When you become a Christ-follower, the Holy Spirit moves in. We become His house. So, when He speaks, His voice comes from inside you. What if all this time you’ve been hearing His voice without recognizing it?
So, when you’re driving through life and your journey leads you to a dark place where you feel alone and abandoned, know that you’re never really alone. Even when nothing else seems to work, the Holy Spirit is right there with you. With only a thought, He can speak life, hope, strength, joy, and encouragement to you and over you. Even better, if you learn to listen intently, He can help you avoid some of those dark places.
John 14:15-17
15 “If you love me, keep my commands. 16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever— 17 the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you.
Extract from:
Who Is the Holy Spirit?
The Holy Spirit is one of the trinity (Father, Son, Spirit). We sometimes don’t give the Holy Spirit space in our lives because we feel the Holy Spirit is the lesser one of the trinity but He is as well very important. Jesus could not stay with us here on earth after His resurrection so He left us the Holy Spirit to be with us to do what he would have done if He were to be here. The Holy Spirit is our helper, comforter, advocate… (John 14:16)
The Holy Spirit is there to help you with your Christian life– you cannot do it without Him. He is the one who aligns your life to the Word of God. You can read the Word of God from beginning to end and it will just be “fiction” to you or you won’t just be on the right path because of the absence of the Holy Spirit.
Everyone can read the Bible– in fact, many people do– and they read it like a textbook. In some schools, they are actually used for studies. So there is no difference if we all are just reading the Bible. The purpose and source of understanding really matter and the Holy Spirit is available to do that all for you. It is the Holy Spirit who gives each Christian the right understanding according to each person’s situation or condition. People read the same text and gain different understandings from that same text. You can’t solely rely on one another’s understanding because our walk of life differs.
The Holy Spirit is of the same kind as Christ Jesus, so who is in the better position to help you be like Christ other than His Spirit? The Holy Spirit is amazing. He is the best of help. He is the sweetest friend you can ever have. If you have Him in your life, oh myyyyyy, you are set for life. The privileges you enjoy, it’s unmeasurable, it’s not a joke! He makes the Christian walk easier. He is one with the Father and Son, so He knows what you need to do to be right with them.
He is not a threat, he isn’t scary, he isn’t a beast. He is a very loving person and from my experience, He really has a great sense of humour. My friends sometimes wonder why I just laugh or smile all of the sudden, but the joy and happiness living in me is very awesome.
God has given us Him because He knows how important and worthy this gift is but it is up to us to accept this gift. Are you willing to let go of all these benefits and be lost, sad, broken, weak, anxious, troubled with so many cares and worries? The Holy Spirit has so much love and affection to give you and there is one thing we must never dare doing to him– grieving Him. [Ephesians 4:30]. According to dictionary.com, to grieve is to oppress or to wrong, and to oppress is to burden with cruel or unjust impositions or restraints; to lie heavily upon. Blasphemy– an insult that shows contempt, disrespect, or lack of reverence concerning a deity, a sacred object, or something considered inviolable– against the Holy Spirit is not forgivable so we must restrain strictly from it (Matthew 12:30). Blasphemy is conscious and hardened opposition to the truth because the Spirit is truth (1 John 5:6). Conscious and hardened resistance to the truth leads man away from humility and repentance, and without repentance, there can be no forgiveness. [Wikipedia]
Walk with the Holy Spirit, talk with Him. He is a very nice person to talk to and a very good listener. There are times I speak to people and through the Holy Spirit, I get to know their reply before they actually reply to me. It might sound unbelievable and impossible but it happens. The Holy Spirit is resident in every believer so that means if you don’t have the Holy Spirit, you are not saved.
But there is an opportunity to have the Holy Spirit, the spirit of God, the sweetest one ever, live in you. But this opportunity will not be available anymore in some time to come– that’s when Jesus comes for His people. Why don’t you grab this opportunity? You can say this and NOTE, it must be declared with a sincere heart and belief.
“Oh Lord God, I believe with all my heart in Jesus Christ, the Son of the living God, I believe He died for me and you God raised Him from the dead. I believe He is alive today. I confess with my mouth that Jesus Christ is the Lord of my life from this day (you can state today’s date). Through Him, and in His Name, I have eternal life and your spirit lives in me. I am born again. Thank you, Lord, for saving my soul. I am now a child of God. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.”
